Perseverance

Your business is not growing as quickly as you would like and you’re not meeting your monthly income goals (you do have them right?), what can you do?

Here is the question you must ask yourself: Are you willing to do whatever it takes? Are you willing to do what others won’t to get where you want to be?

In working with hundreds of business owners over the past 15 years, there is one theme that reappears when they find themselves stuck and thinking about giving up…PERSEVERANCE. It’s not that you aren’t great at what you do! You just haven’t committed yourself 100% to growth.

I recently attended a workshop given by NY Times Best-selling author Dorie Clark, author of “Entrepreneurial YOU.” Her advice to the women business owners in the room was to go ALL IN for 30 days. Connect directly with people who’s problem you can solve. It’s not about your fancy website, your beautiful logo or your premium business card. You must connect with people who need your products and services.

My advice…

make a list of 90 people in your network (past clients, colleagues, friends, family, influencers). Reach out directly to 2-3 people on your list every single day. Share your knowledge, network and compassion. Tell them what you’re up to and ask if they know anyone who needs you. Send and email, or better yet pick up the phone!

Think about it as a numbers game…what is your sales closing rate? If you want 5 new clients in 30 days, and your closing rate is 20% then you must talk to 50 people in 30 days.

Your business is not unique. You must put in the work to get the results you desire. Stop wasting time writing blogs, posting on Facebook and hiding behind your computer (I see you!). Get out there in the spotlight and make it happen!

And, if you want some help with that, just shoot me an email at cindy@claimyourspotlight.com and we can set up a time to chat.

Warmly,

Cindy
